Highlights: 

• the median detached home price rose 7.2 percent to $185,000
• the average detached price rose 3.1 percent to $218,488
• the number of new listings rose 4.9 percent for single-family detached homes and 3.0 percent for condos, townhomes and other attached homes
• overall inventory of detached homes for sale dropped 20.3 percent in Janaury
