Area Spotlight - MLS Area 103 – West River Valley
Area 103 is located on the northwest side of Albuquerque. The Area boundaries are defined as East of north Coors, South of Alameda, West of Rio Grande River and North of Montano Blvd.
The City of Albuquerque reports that there are four Neighborhood Associations here. The Near North Valley area is located within the Albuquerque Public Schools District, within vicinity of two elementary schools (Petroglyph and Corrales), three middle schools (James Monroe, LBJ and Taylor) and one high school, (Cibola). A variety of community resources and business serve this area. There is also access to several bike paths and shopping centers.
For commuters to Albuquerque, this “westside” MLS area offers the quickest access to the river bridges at Alameda, Paseo del Norte and Montano. The City of ABQ transit system also offers a Park and Ride location near this area at Ellison and Coors bypass.
