I grew up as an Air Force Brat so moving has always been second nature to me. This experience is very useful in working with clients who are relocating to a new area.. After earning a BA in Sociology from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1973 I worked as a VISTA Volunteer in Chicago as a social worker for chronically mentally ill patients. Between 1973 and 2005 I worked as a housing counselor, an assistant editor for a Chicago daily newspaper, a social worker and family therapist. In June 1989 I relocated to New Mexico and have lived here ever since. I began my real estate career in 2005 with the goal of assisting people from all walks of life to achieve the goal of home ownership. In addition to the NAR Green Designation, I am an e-Pro, and an Accredited Buyer Representative. I am also an NAR certified instructor for the Home From Work program which helps businesses develop programs to assist their employees to buy a home. I specialize in residential resale because buying an existing home is always more energy efficient than building a new one. As an advocate for the environment and for Work Force Housing I work hard to help buyers find homes within their budget and as close as possible to their workplace because it helps cut down on their commute which means they have more time to spend at home while both saving money on transportation cost and having a smaller carbon footprint. |
