THIS COURSE IS A CORE ELECTIVE

The course covers historical and regulatory background regarding contamination of the environment and how this issue is important to real estate practice and specific federal legislation and court decisions. Due diligence for environmental contamination through the use of "screenings, phase I, Phase II and Phase III assessments is covered with emphasis for buyers and lenders obtaining "innocent landowner status" to avoid liability for remediation.
