GAAR and the Salvation Army partner to help the families impacted by the Dog Head Fire

As the Dog Head Fire continues to displace our neighbors – and their pets – living in the Manzano Mountains, we would like to direct you to the areas that are in most need of our donations.

First, GAAR and the Salvation Army has joined forces to help both the immediate needs of evacuees and the longer term needs of families that lost their homes. Starting today and through the summer, all direct contributions made to the REALTOR® Fund will be donated to the Salvation Army to be ear-marked for victims of the Dog Head Fire. The REALTOR® Fund accepts donations for members and non-members alike, so please share this message with your friends, families, clients and business associates.

The Greater Albuquerque Association of REALTORS® is also collecting donated items as well. Notices on the blog and on Flexmls will be updated as needs change. We are currently collecting:

- bottled water
- Sports drinks (i.e. Gatorade)
- Instant coffee
- Diapers sizes 2-5 (but especially size 2)
- Canned meat
- Laundry detergent

You can drop your donations off in the lobby at the REALTOR® Building and we will distribute the various collection centers.

Thank you for your support and aid to our friends and families impacted by the Dog Head Fire.

Warm regards,

Jon Schnoor and the GAAR Board of Directors
