Here are your updates from the GAAR & SWMLS Meetings held in May.

GAAR Board Meeting 

CEO Ryan Swinney has completed his 360-degree analysis of the Association and presented these findings to the GAAR Board of Directors. Some of the areas studied in this analysis were: Accounting Systems, Governmental Affairs, Education, Professional Standards, Technology, Membership Value and many more. Immediately the Board of Directors have formulated two Presidential Advisory Groups (PAGS) to move some of these key initiatives forward:

1. Membership Value PAG: One pager to be developed to highlight member benefits & the REALTOR® value.
2. Policy PAG: Will develop a Cyber Security Policy, update the Code of Conduct, and review our Antitrust Compliance Policy to ensure it aligns with best practices. 

SWMLS Board Meeting

• New SWMLS Coordinator: Jessica Tafoya, a licensed Transaction Coordinate has joined the SWMLS Team. 
• Delayed Marketing Policy: To be presented to the Board in June for approval. stay tuned for details.
• Flex Mobile App: New tech enhancements include a better search experience, map overlay fields & a new Summary View for listings.
• Buyer-Broker Agreement: A reminder that this document must be signed before any residential showings. Avoid a $500 fine by staying in compliance.
