On Monday, July 28th at 1:30 pm, all GAAR Member Portal users will experience a forced password reset.
Flexmls Account Security
Due to a recent security incident affecting a limited number of Flexmls users, Flexmls is now mandating a password reset for all users due to increased unauthorized access to login credentials. While the system has not been breached, the reset has been activated to secure member accounts.
What You Need to Know
- No internal systems were compromised.
- Attackers are using previously exposed login credentials (a tactic known as credential stuffing).
- Affected accounts have been locked, and MLSs are being contacted directly.
- Additional monitoring and security measures are being implemented.
- GAAR Members use single sign-on to access Flexmls through the Member Portal, which is why you’ll need to update your Member Portal login.
- Passwords will need to be updated every 6 months going forward.
What You Need to Do:
On Monday, July 28th at 1:30 pm, you will experience a forced password reset.
1. Access your Member Portal on gaar.com
2. Follow the below steps on all your devices: laptop, desktop, tablet, and mobile phone.
Tips for Creating a Strong Password:
- At least 12 characters long
- A mix of uppercase and lowercase letters
- Includes numbers and special characters
- Unique to Flexmls
Avoid:
- Reusing passwords from other websites
- Using personally identifiable information like names or birthdates
- Using common words like "password" or including predictable patterns like "1234"
- Sharing your credentials with others or storing them in insecure apps
Important Reminder:
Never share your login with others or input your credentials into third-party applications. Doing so is a violation of SWMLS policies and puts your account at risk.
Next Steps:
While we continue investigating and enhancing protections, our top priority remains the security of your data and account integrity.
