In case you missed RANM on the Road at GAAR...

RANM on the Road in Albuquerque was a huge success! GAAR hosted 4-members of the RANM Staff, 6-speakers as well as around 60 GAAR members!  

Victoria Murphy (RANM President), Debbie Rodgers (Broker Involvement Council for NAR) and Paul Wilson (RANM Treasurer) presented everyone with RANM and RPAC updates. These updates included changes to the RANM website, housing trends, 2018-2020 Strategic Plan, RPAC Goals and how/why to join committees.

Steve Anaya talked with us about the NAR and RANM Legislative updates. These updates included QB License Requirements signed by the Governor, HOA Amendment Bills, Home Inspector Licensing Bill, Real Estate Auctioneers License and many more. Marguerite Haverly (CARNM President) gave us the CARNM update. Included in the update was the improved CARNM website, Commercial Market Statistics, and much more. Please visit the CARNM website to learn more.

Attendees enjoyed a Rex’s Hamburger with the best fries and onion rings I’ve tasted in quite a while!

Wayne Ciddio and Tom Baca from the New Mexico Real Estate Commission discussed the new education requirement of 36 credit hours for renewal. For more info on education requirements visit the Commission Website. The Commission will be changing to online renewals this year. Lastly, GAAR announced a Special Guest Speaker, Bernalillo County District Attorney, Raul Torrez. Raul shared his views on Albuquerque neighborhood crime and his approach to prosecuting the repeat offenders that present this threat. Below is a video of Raul Torrez speaking at GAAR.
