PIDs - Public Improvement Districts

HB371 was passed in the New Mexico Legislature requiring sellers or their brokers to disclose if the property for sale is in a "Public Improvement District" or "PID."  The information provided in this section is to assist in that process.  RANM has provided a form which may be used for disclosure and has provided other information as well. The RANM form for PID disclosure (RANM Form 4550) and the instruction sheet (RANM Form 4500) are also located on Instanet.

Please note:  The information available through this resource is a composite of documents prepared by other entities and is provided by the PIDS, their consultants, or attorneys.  GAAR cannot  guarantee the accuracy, integrity, or completeness of the information.

This information page identifies the name of each PID in Bernalillo County and Sandoval County.  Contact information is also made available for each of the Counties in case you have additional questions.

The actual PID documents that contain the PID levy amounts can be found on a state managed website by clicking here.    Please note that not all Sandoval County PID documents are included on this website and efforts should be made to contact the Rio Rancho Planning Office for the most recent PID levy information.   These levy documents are revised each year.   If you have trouble clicking the link please try to copy and paste this URL in your browser,

PID Information for Disclosure

How to use this information

This section contains at least three documents per Public Improvement District. The "General lnformation Sheet" is designed to help you easily complete RANM Form 4550 for PID Disclosures (assessable through Instanet). The "Notice of Information" and the "DFA Annual Budget Documents" should be downloaded and attached to your completed disclosure form.

The general rule of thumb for PID documents and a real estate transaction in New Mexico is that if the home is located in a PID, these docs must be provided to the buyer BEFORE a seller can accept an offer.      

The DFA Annual Budget Document and the Notice of Information will be updated each year, when revised forms are made availble from each PID.  GAAR's legal council then reviews those forms to update the "General Information Sheet."  Please note, the information in the "General Information Sheet" has been compiled from public documents available as of March 24, 2015 and is not current. No guaranty of accuracy or completeness is made on any documents posted on this website, and no obligation to update the information is assumed. Users of this information are urged to independently verify it.
