The Leadership Development Program (LDP) is a dynamic initiative designed to inspire and shape the next generation of leaders within GAAR, the real estate sector, and the local community. This transformative program, offered biennially, equips participants with essential leadership skills and strategies and is open exclusively to GAAR and Affiliate Members.

The training spans four months and consists of intensive modules, including "Know Your Why," communication skills, performance excellence, conflict resolution, and adapting to change. Sessions are scheduled for one day a month on the first Friday, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, and include lunch. In January, participants will engage in REALTOR® Day at the Round House in Santa Fe. The program culminates in March with a graduation ceremony at the Awards Gala.

Graduates of the LDP have significantly grown their leadership skills within their brokerages, companies, and professional networks. Many have gone on to attain leadership positions on GAAR boards and committees, where they continue to make impactful contributions. Serving on a board or committee not only enhances your influence within the industry but also provides a platform to shape the future of real estate, advocate for key issues, and drive positive change in your community.

2026/2027 LDP Schedule

• Friday, November 13th, 10:00 am - 5:00 pm: Orientation and Aspirational Knowledge + Find your Why 
• Friday, December 11th, 10:00 am - 5:00 pm: Communication Skills + Navigating Conflict with Guest Speaker Jen Fry
• Friday, January 15th, 10:00 am - 5:00 pm: Leadership Management and Performance Excellence +  Know Your Why 
• Thursday, February 11th,  All Day:  NMAR REALTOR® Day at the Round House during the 2027 Legislative Session *
  (*This will be a full day of travel, sessions, and meetings in Santa Fe. Meals & transportation will be provided.)
• Friday, March 12th, Graduation at the Annual Awards Gala

PLUS three On-Your-Own Activities in November, January, and February
(option lists will be provided to participants for each month)

• REALTOR® Members in good standing with at least one year of experience

Registration

• First-come basis (must fulfill requirements)
• 30 REALTOR® Members will be selected
• Up to 5 Affiliate Members
• $150 program fee
