GAAR REALTORS® and Affiliates made a big difference this year!

Through the Annual Angel Tree, the larger real estate community  adopted over 700 "Angels" from the APS Title 1 Homeless Project this year. The Angels are APS students that are homeless  and each student is  unbelievably grateful for the generous gifts you give.

Managing this very large project is an act of love from 2016 Community Relations Committee Chair, Janie Gilmore-Daniels. Thank you Janie, Carol Pinnell (for the Affiliate Angel Tree) and all REALTOR® and Affiliate members that brightened the holidays of the APS Title 1 Angels this year.

GAAR REALTORS® and Affiliates also rang bells for the Salvation Army. By giving up just a few hours during the holiday season, GAAR's Bell Ringers raised $2,346 for the Salvation Army.

This was our 2^nd year to have "Real Estate Wednesday (and Saturday)" Bells being rung.  Thanks to Community Relations Committee member, Anne Vallejos who organized the effort along with help from her Bell Ringing Captains, Antionette Baca, Lisa Donoghue and Mindy Abramson.

The kettles raises 63% of Salvation Army Albuquerque's annual funds. Funds raised by the Salvation Army stay in the community to help local individuals and families in need. They also assist many local charities. Click here to learn more about our local Salvation Army.
