The Southwest Multiple Listing Service, Inc. (SWMLS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of GAAR, and dedicated to providing reliable, cooperative, credible real estate database of listing and sales information using the most current technology.

In December 2007, the Association changed its name from the Albuquerque Metropolitan Board of REALTORS® (AMBR), to the Greater Albuquerque Association of REALTORS® (GAAR). The new name represents Bernalillo, Valencia, Sandoval, Torrance, parts of Socorro and Santa Fe Counties, and more accurately covers the growing region of Central New Mexico.
The Association also celebrated the expansion and remodeled completion of the REALTOR® Building in 2007, almost doubling its size (three large classrooms, variety of different sizes of meeting rooms, modern computer lab, and a comprehensive REALTOR® Store).
Established in 1921 as the Real Estate Board of Albuquerque, GAAR today is recognized as the leading provider of real estate information services, data and education in New Mexico. GAAR is the largest local professional trade association in Central New Mexico with close to 2,700 members pledged to a strict Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice.
