Proposed SWMLS Bylaws Changes

In addition, the SWMLS Board has proposed changes to the current SWMLS Bylaws. Only Designated REALTORS® are eligible to vote and will be issued a ballot upon registration that will allow you to approve all changes.

Article 6.2 - Board of Directors of the Service

Rationale for Bylaw Change

As per the SWMLS Bylaws, the SWMLS Board must maintain a majority of Participants over Subscribers but preserves dedicated seats for Subscribers to ensure their perspective is maintained. This further clarifies that the GAAR President does not affect the Firm or Participant/Subscriber count.

Rationale for Bylaw Change

The SWMLS Board increased the minimum qualifications for serving on the SWMLS Board. In addition, they clarified the need for direct experience with SWMLS processes and proceedures or service on select GAAR committees or programs.

The Speaker Series, generally offered the afternoon of the Annual Meeting, for the second year has been scheduled for the following day, allowing us to increase the benefit to 6 FREE CE.
