From REALTOR® to Role Model: Ida Kelly Recognized for Impact at Eisenhower Middle School
Making a Difference Beyond the Deal: Ida Kelly is a Good Neighbor

At GAAR, we know that being a great REALTOR® goes beyond buying and selling homes — it’s about building stronger communities. That’s why we’re proud to recognize Ida Kelly of Ida Kelly Realtors as a GAAR Good Neighbor Award recipient for her exceptional service and commitment to making a lasting impact in the lives of local families.

A longtime supporter of community projects, Ida didn’t just show up — she rolled up her sleeves and got to work. Recognizing the challenges some students face outside of the classroom, Ida launched the Eisenhower Middle School Community Service Club, a student-led group dedicated to addressing food insecurity among classmates and their families. Under her guidance, the club provides vital food support beyond school hours, helping ensure that no student goes without.

But Ida’s efforts go far beyond logistics — she’s become a mentor and role model for the students she serves. Through her leadership, Ida is teaching young people the value of empathy, responsibility, and service. She empowers them to see themselves as changemakers, whether they’re preparing meals for families staying at Albuquerque’s Ronald McDonald House or finding new ways to give back to those in need.

By fostering a culture of compassion and action, Ida is shaping the next generation of community-minded citizens — one service project at a time.

GAAR’s Good Neighbor Awards celebrate REALTORS® and Affiliate Members who generously give their time, energy, and resources to causes that matter. Whether it's organizing donation drives, mentoring youth, or simply lending a helping hand, recipients like Ida embody the heart of our REALTOR® community.

Please join us in congratulating Ida Kelly for turning compassion into action — and for showing us what it truly means to be a Good Neighbor.

Do you know a REALTOR® or Affiliate Member who goes above and beyond to help the community? Do you dedicate your free time to a local charity? If the answer is "yes" to either question, both are eligible to apply for the GAAR Good Neighbor Award.
