Supporting the Angel Tree Program has become a holiday tradition for many members.

For 23 years, the program has provided gifts to homeless children enrolled at APS. This is the 3rd year the student's families have been included as hardship in our community has increased.

Throughout the years, REALTOR® Janie Gilmore-Daniels has been the true angel coordinating the program between APS and GAAR Members! Here is her heartfelt message to all of you.

Angel Tree Donors,
It is with sincere gratitude that I thank everyone who so generously participated in the Angel Tree project again this year.

We were able to help 131 families this year which is 58 more than last year! It was so heartwarming to see all of the thoughtful, generous gifts of clothing, shoes, toys, skateboards, etc., Santa truly came for these families. The donations were especially handy as we were asked to provide for additional families. 

I wish I could personally thank everyone who donated, the many members of GAAR and YPN who organized the project, Coldwell Banker Legacy, Keller Williams Realty, Realty One, Vista Encantada, Bank of Albuquerque, Sunwest Escrow, Centric Title, and Waterstone Mortgage to name just a few. It is amazing to see genuine love and careful shopping undertaken to provide a special gift for each child. 

I would like to share a written thank you from a very grateful Mom who was not able to provide a Christmas for her kids:

"I truly have a special place in my heart for the people who gifted my family and brought so much joy into my kid's life this Christmas. We hope we can do the same someday. Lots of love and bless your beautiful and kind souls".

That message is to you, the Albuquerque Board of REALTORS®, affiliates, and employees of GAAR who also spend time shopping, organizing, and delivering the gifts to APS. What an amazing group you are and how you support our community by more than just selling homes.
