Twice each year, GAAR and SWMLS come together for a joint board meeting, with April serving as one of those scheduled sessions.

GAAR Update - President Chris Venegas

• Policy updates in progress: GAAR is reviewing and updating policies to better protect the association and its members
• New CE class no-show fee: A $15 fee will be introduced for free CE classes to reduce high no-show rates and improve access for members
  Effective date: The new fee will begin with the First Wednesday class in June
• Standards and compliance: Work continues on a confidentiality policy and a review of Professional Standards to align with National Association of REALTORS guidelines
• Advocacy survey: Recently sent to members to gather input on public policy priorities and guide the work of the Government Affairs Committee
• Important upcoming event: Music Bingo on May 15 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at GAAR, benefiting RPAC
• Community impact: More than 275 REALTORS® and volunteers supported Run for the Zoo, assisting over 10,000 participants and benefiting the New Mexico BioPark Society

SWMLS Update - President Teri Hatcher

• Annual MLS invoices sent: SWMLS billing has gone out, with no fee increase. Rates have remained unchanged since 2008
• New IDX partnership: SWMLS has partnered with a new IDX vendor to improve how listing data is shared across third-party and brokerage websites
  Fixing display issues: Recent problems with listing photos on major portals were linked to IDX feeds. The new vendor is expected to resolve these issues
  Improved performance: The updated system will provide more reliable data distribution and faster response times when issues occur
• Continued growth: SWMLS is seeing steady subscriber growth, continuing the momentum from last year
• Stronger product usage: More brokers are actively using the tools and benefits included with their SWMLS subscription
