First President Report of 2026: Clarity, Confidence, and a Path Forward
2026 is off to a strong start for the Greater Albuquerque Association of REALTORS®, and in his first President Report, Chris Venegas shares the momentum and focus that will guide the year ahead.
In his update, President Venegas highlights several key developments setting the tone for 2026. A major focus has been governance and education—earlier this month, GAAR kicked off board and committee training centered on Robert’s Rules of Order and fiduciary responsibilities, ensuring leaders are equipped with solid decision-making tools.
Another big milestone for the association is the approval of the 2026-2028 GAAR Strategic Plan, a roadmap designed to help the association better serve members and advance the real estate profession in Central New Mexico. While Venegas acknowledged there’s more work ahead, his update emphasized collaboration, clarity of vision, and building on the strong foundation left by past leadership.
As members settle into the new year, President Venegas’ message lays out a thoughtful vision: strengthen skills, refine governance, and pursue strategic growth—backed by a team ready to take on the opportunities that 2026 will bring.
