^ This course is offered at no initial cost as a GAAR member benefit. Due to high demand and limited seating, advance registration is required. If you are unable to attend, written cancellation notice must be submitted by replying to your class reminder email or by sending an email to education@gaar.com at least 24 hours prior to the start of class. Registrants who fail to provide proper notice and do not attend will be assessed a $15.00 No-Show Fee, which will be posted to the member’s GAAR account in accordance with GAAR policy.


Instructor: Ashley Strauss-Martin.Ms. Strauss-Martin has a B.A. from U. of South Florida and a J.D. from the UNM School of Law. She has been the NMAR General Counsel since 2007. She writes or reviews all NMAR Forms, runs the NMAR Legal Hotline. Ms. Strauss-Martin also writes articles on legal issues for the NMAR Voice, presents legal updates reviews all of NMAR contracts with third-parties, sits on and assists most NMAR Committees, draft, reviews and lobby bills at the state level and  serves as an expert witness before the state legislature on bills she's drafted and assists NMAR with any other legal issues that arise.
