NEW Call for Action: O-88 Could Still Move Forward on Monday

We Need You to Respond Again:
O-25-88 Could Still Move Forward

Thank you to everyone who responded to last week’s Call for Action and helped defeat Ordinance O-25-88 in the Land Use, Planning, and Zoning Committee.

Unfortunately, the fight isn’t over yet.

Friday night, we issued a NEW Call for Action through our advocacy platform because even though O-25-88 was defeated during the LUPZ Committee last week -  it is possible that the City Council may still bring the ordinance forward for a full City Council vote as soon as this Monday.

We need you to check your email and respond again! You will receive a follow up email on Monday.

This is a separate campaign and requires a new response from you.

The “Renter’s Empowerment and Neighborhood Transparency”
Ordinance O-25-88
would impose sweeping new regulations that:

  • Undermine private property rights
  • Increase legal and financial risks for housing providers
  • Place excessive administrative burdens on landlords
  • Discourage investment in Albuquerque’s rental market

If passed, this ordinance would make it harder—not easier—for housing providers to offer safe, stable rental housing in our city.

Please respond to the NEW Call for Action when it arrives. It only takes a minute, but it makes a powerful difference.

Thank you for standing up and speaking out—again.
