
NMAR is now accepting nominations for the 2026 REALTOR® of the Year award.
This prestigious honor recognizes a REALTOR® who exemplifies high professional principles, is well-respected by peers and clients, and has demonstrated significant involvement within local, state, and national REALTOR® organizations. Candidates should also exhibit REALTOR® spirit and active civic participation. All NMAR members, Member Boards, and members of the REALTOR® of the Year Committee are invited to submit nominations.
What Makes a REALTOR® of the Year?
The selection committee evaluates nominees based on six core standards:
- REALTOR® Spirit – Exemplifying high principles, a commitment to the Code of Ethics, and promoting good real estate practices.
- Civic Activity – Active participation in civic, charitable, political, or religious organizations at the local, state, or national level.
- Business Accomplishments – Demonstrated excellence in business practices, creative advertising, and service to clients.
- Local Board Activity – Engagement in local Board leadership, committees, education, or special assignments.
- State Association Activity – Contributions to NMAR through leadership, committee work, and participation in state events.
- National Association Activity – Involvement in NAR leadership, councils, conventions, and national initiatives.
How to Nominate

Be sure to provide detailed examples of your nominee’s contributions in each of the six categories listed above.
Deadline: Don’t wait—submit your nomination early to ensure it receives full consideration!
