Thursday Deadline to apply for RPAC-NM Trustee Positions

RPAC-NM, the Political Action Committee of the New Mexico Association of REALTORS®, has a total of seven (7) openings for Trustees in four of the six NMAR Districts. All are for 3-year terms (January 1, 2024, to December 31, 2026).

Trustee Openings

Commercial District – Two (2) Openings 

  • David Ben Nolte, Commercial, completing term; eligible to apply for a second term.
  • Isaac Romero, Commercial, completing term; eligible to apply for a second term.

Central District – Three (3) Openings 

  • Carrie Montoya-Pegg, Albuquerque, completing term; eligible to apply for a second term.
  • Two Vacancies

NE District – One (1) Opening 

  • One Vacancy

NW District – One (1) Opening 

  • Paul Barry, Farmington, completing term; eligible to apply for a second term.
Minimum Qualifications
  1. Must be an RPAC-NM Committee member (have contributed to RPAC during 2023) at the time of application.
  2. Must demonstrate political knowledge and acumen at either the local or the state level.
  3. Must commit to the applicable term of service and the attendance policy, indicate a willingness to remain a member of the Committee throughout the term of service and agree to abide by the RPAC-NM Bylaws and Policies as they may be amended from time to time.
Other Experiences to be Considered
  1. Experience on a Member Board RPAC Committee
  2. Experience on a Member Board or State Legislative Committee
  3. Multi-year contributor to RPAC-NM
  4. Volunteer experience on a political campaign
  5. Other substantial political knowledge and involvement
Important Deadlines
  • June 15:  Deadline for members to apply to their local board president (applications sent directly to local board presidents).
  • June 30:  Deadline for board presidents to send applications to their DVP (all applications need to be sent to the DVP).
  • July 1 - July 31:  District Selection Committees meet to select their Trustee (DVP sets up a meeting of the District Selection Committee or with the association presidents; the group selects person(s) to serve as a Trustee).
  • August 1:  Deadline to forward the name(s) of the selected applicant(s) to the RPAC-NM Trustees.        
  • January 1, 2024:  New Terms Begin
