Runoff Election Update – December 9, 2025
Because no candidate in the races for Mayor and City Council Districts 1 and 3 received more than 50% of the vote on November 4th, Albuquerque voters will return to the polls for a runoff election on Tuesday, December 9, 2025.
We encourage all eligible REALTORS® and property owners to learn about the issues, review the candidates, and participate in the runoff election. Every local ballot has a direct impact on housing, investment, and the future of our community.
RECPAC Run-off Support
RECPAC has extended its REALTOR® Champion slate into the runoff and is supporting the following candidates:
Mayor of Albuquerque
Candidate: Darren White
Albuquerque City Council
District 1: Joshua Neal
District 3: Klarissa Pena incumbent
These candidates have demonstrated a willingness to engage with the real estate community and to work with us on issues such as property rights, housing supply and affordability, and a healthy local economy.
