
Zoe Liston Headlines GAAR’s First Speaker Series of 2026
The Greater Albuquerque Association of REALTORS® is kicking off the 2026 Speaker Series with a nationally recognized expert who knows the appraisal world inside and out. On Wednesday, April 15, Zoe Liston will be in Albuquerque for a full day of education designed to help real estate professionals better understand one of the most misunderstood parts of the transaction: the appraisal.
Held in person at GAAR, this dynamic event offers two continuing education opportunities that break down how appraisers think, how reports are built, and how brokers can better interpret and communicate appraisal information with clients.

This course will help real estate agents understand important aspects of the appraisal side of real estate. It covers the basic history of appraising along with a detailed comparison of the difference between appraisals and CMAs. Attendees will learn how appraisers work, who they work for, how they search for comps, what guidelines they have to follow, and why they do what they do.

About Zoe Liston
Zoe Liston graduated from Cornell University and has been a licensed Realtor® for almost 30 years, a Certified Residential Real Property Appraiser for 25 years, and a speaker in both industries for over 20 years.
Her speaking career has been primarily for the Minnesota Association of Realtors®, local Realtor® associations across Minnesota, the National Association of Realtors®, Kaplan, and NorthStarMLS. She specializes in teaching Realtors® how to understand the appraisal world of real estate including, how to read appraisals, best practices for interacting with appraisers, and how to accurately measure homes. Zoe is also the local NorthStarMLS Matrix expert for the Minneapolis Area Association of Realtors, and teaches all of their programming specific to Matrix.
Zoe has a passion for bridging industry knowledge gaps to aid in elevating the experience for agents and consumers alike. She is an interactive edutainer who uses humor and levity when she speaks, which makes her sessions engaging and educational.
Zoe hopes to continue building her legacy of breaking down industry communication barriers one conference at a time as she makes her way across the United States.
