GAAR has been made aware of suspicious text messages circulating that reference “GAAR Healthcare.” In at least one reported case, the message claimed the recipient had signed up for or needed to check in regarding healthcare coverage. The text included a phone number, but attempts to contact that number received no response.

If you have received a similar message, take a pause. This appears to be a scam attempt and not an official GAAR program.

GAAR does not offer a healthcare program called “GAAR Healthcare,” and GAAR does not enroll members in benefits through unsolicited text messages.

Common warning signs in these messages include:
