SWMLS - How Voting Works

The Southwest Multiple Listing Service (SWMLS) Board of Directors election is an opportunity for participating brokerages to have a voice in the leadership and future direction of our MLS.

SWMLS will conduct its election electronically through Election Runner, an online voting platform.

All ballots must be submitted before the voting deadline.

When voting opens, each Designated Broker will receive an email invitation containing a voting link, a unique Voter ID, and a Voter Key assigned to their office.

Your official SWMLS voting invitation will come from:

  • Southwest Multiple Listing Service, Inc.
  • noreply@electionrunner.com

Please check your inbox, including your spam or junk folder, for this important email. Depending on your email settings, the invitation may also be marked as [EXTERNAL SENDER].

Who Votes?

Voting is conducted through each eligible SWMLS office's Designated Broker. Each office receives a weighted vote based on its Active Member Count.

Designated Brokers who oversee multiple offices will receive a separate voting invitation for each eligible office, with each office's voting weight applied independently.

How Do I Vote?

You can access the election through the link provided in your invitation email or visit the SWMLS voting website: swmls.electionrunner.com

Enter the credentials provided in your invitation email:

  • Voter ID: Your office's MLS Short ID (office identifier).
  • Voter Key: A unique, confidential access code generated specifically for this election.

Once logged in, review the candidates, make your selections, and submit your ballot.

Important for Designated Brokers with Multiple Offices: If you oversee more than one eligible office, you will receive a separate voting invitation for each office. Each office has its own weighted vote, so please complete a ballot for every office you represent.

  • GAAR & SWMLS* Board of Directors Voting Period
    • Voting Opens: Monday, October 19, 2026, at 9:00 AM (Mountain Time)
    • Voting Closes: Sunday, October 25, 2026, at 11:59 PM (Mountain Time)
      *As per bylaws, only SWMLS Participants who are Designated REALTORS® will be allowed to vote in the SWMLS Election
  • Incoming Board of Directors Inauguration at the GAAR/SWMLS Annual Meeting on Wednesday, December 2nd at the Marriott Pyramid North
