Suspicious Phone or Text Messages
On Tuesday, we received numerous reports that GAAR Members were being targeted by an "interested buyer" attempting to schedule a showing. They are communicating by text, requesting to view a property, and leaving a message. Once the number is called, the "interested buyer" texts an "authentication" code, and the member is then asked for the code.
The number associated with this activity is 917-737-3463. The verification code is 22000.
This is a phishing attempt and the number and code could change at anytime. Do not respond to suspicious calls, texts or emails unless you have verified the sender.
