In 2026, our nation marks a historic milestone: 250 years of American independence. As part of this celebration, the National Association of REALTORS® has launched the American Dream at 250 campaign, recognizing the role that property rights and homeownership have played in shaping communities, creating opportunity, and building generational wealth across the country.

For REALTORS®, the American Dream is more than a concept. It is something we help people achieve every day.

Whether it is a first-time buyer receiving the keys to their new home, a family creating stability for future generations, or a seller moving on to their next chapter, real estate professionals witness the impact of property ownership firsthand. These stories reflect the values that have helped define our nation for 250 years.

Your Story - Our Cities & Villages

NAR is inviting REALTORS®, brokers, homeowners, and consumers to share personal stories about how homeownership has influenced their lives and communities.

Think about the buyers you've helped achieve a lifelong goal. Consider the families who built equity, established roots, or created a better future through property ownership. Maybe your own path to homeownership changed your financial future or strengthened your connection to your community.

Every story helps illustrate the lasting importance of private property rights and the opportunities that homeownership creates.

By sharing your story, you'll have the opportunity to gain wider exposure through NAR's national campaign while helping ensure Central New Mexico is part of the national conversation about homeownership, property rights, and the American Dream.

How to Participate

Getting involved is simple:

1. Select a brief story
   About how homeownership unlocked the American Dream for you, your family, or one of your clients.
2. Record a Short Video 
   1  minute or less
3. Submit Your Story to NAR
   Upload your videos and photos through NAR's America 250 PhotoShelter Hub, where stories from across the country will be collected and shared.
