REALTOR® Rosemary Freelin, a three-time GAAR Good Neighbor Award recipient, recently joined Frances Walker of the Rio Grande Valley Blue Star Mothers for a featured segment on New Mexico Living. The interview spotlighted Rosemary’s unwavering commitment to supporting military service members, veterans, and Gold Star families through her 18+ years of volunteer work with the organization.
Blue Star Mothers is a non-partisan organization open to mothers of active-duty service members, as well as supportive dads, relatives, and friends. United in pride, patriotism, and purpose, the group provides care, comfort, and community to those who serve and their families.
Since joining in 2011, Rosemary has served on numerous committees and the Executive Board, lending her expertise in fundraising and her dedication to the mission. Her efforts have been instrumental in helping the Rio Grande Valley Chapter assemble and ship more than 1,200 troop care packages each year to service members stationed across the United States and overseas.
During the New Mexico Living segment, Rosemary shared the importance of these care packages—not only for the items they contain, but for the morale boost and heartfelt reminder they give to those far from home. Her work embodies the REALTOR® spirit of service, going above and beyond to strengthen and support the community, both locally and abroad.
GAAR is honored to recognize Rosemary’s extraordinary contributions and to help share her story, inspiring others to give back in ways that truly make a difference.
