The New Mexico Regulation and Licensing Department (RLD) has issued a warning about fraudulent emails impersonating RLD employees. These spoofed messages may appear legitimate, often using real job titles or referencing the department to gain trust.
If you receive an unexpected email claiming to be from RLD—especially one requesting payment, personal information, or confidential data—exercise caution. Legitimate RLD emails will always end with “@rld.nm.gov.”
If you’re unsure about a message, contact the RLD at (505) 476-4500.
Stay vigilant and help protect yourself and your business from potential scams.
