A New Appraisal Process Is Coming

Beginning November 2, 2026, UAD 3.6 becomes mandatory for applicable appraisals submitted to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. The transition represents a significant change in residential appraisal reporting, including how property characteristics and other information are collected and presented.

For brokers, understanding the new process can help set expectations with buyers and sellers, improve communication with appraisers and reduce surprises during a transaction.

Learn the Changes with Leigh Brown

During this live webinar, Leigh Brown will break down the new appraisal landscape through her memorable HINGE Framework, helping REALTORS® understand both the changes and the practical steps they can take now.

Topics will include:

  • Changes to appraisal reporting and property data
  • Evolving MLS requirements
  • How to work effectively with appraisers
  • What the transition could mean for clients and transactions
  • Steps brokers can take now to prepare for November 2

The goal is not to turn brokers into appraisal experts. It is to make sure they understand how the process is evolving and how to better prepare their clients and businesses.

Prepare Before November 2

Appraisers have already spent considerable time training, testing new systems and adapting their workflows for UAD 3.6. This webinar gives New Mexico REALTORS® an opportunity to do the same from the broker side of the transaction.

Don’t wait until the new process is already in place. Join NMAR on October 22 and be ready for what changes November 2.
